Anís Cazalla Porthos from New Lidesport is a traditional high-proof anise, inspired by the classic style of Cazalla de la Sierra anises. It presents itself as an intense, clean, and highly aromatic distillate, designed for both sipping neat and mixing in cocktails or typical after-dinner preparations. A direct, sweet, and very expressive profile for lovers of powerful and defined anise.
Color
Transparent and crystalline, with a clear shine and good clarity. When swirling the glass, it leaves a slight tear suggesting some oiliness typical of sweet anises.
Nose
Clear dominance of anise and licorice, with a sweet and penetrating character. Reminders of Mediterranean herbs, fennel, and a hint of star anise seeds emerge, over a slightly balsamic and refreshing background. The aromatic intensity is high, very frank, and without edges.
Palate
Sweet and warm entry, with a marked alcoholic impact but well integrated into the oiliness of the liqueur. The flavor of anise is deep and persistent, accompanied by notes of licorice, fine sugar, and a slightly mentholated sensation that adds freshness to the finish.
