About Anís Mono
Anís Mono from Osborne is a classic Spanish anise, with a traditional style and a distinctly aromatic and sweet character. Produced by one of the historic houses of the Jerez region, it has become a popular reference for both direct consumption and for cocktails and pastries. It is a distillate designed for those seeking the clean intensity of anise with a warm and accessible profile.
Color: Crystal clear and completely colorless, with a sharp shine and fine tears in the glass, suggesting good viscosity without providing chromatic nuances.
Nose: Intense and expansive aroma of sweet anise and matalahúva, very frank and direct, with notes of powdered sugar, memories of soft Mediterranean herbs, and a slightly balsamic background that adds freshness. The sensation is clean, without edges, with a classic Spanish anise profile.
Palate: Sweet and enveloping entry, with a silky and voluminous texture, where anise clearly dominates with a touch of white licorice and hints of fennel. The alcohol integrates warmly, leaving a long, persistent, and refreshing finish, ideal both alone and with ice or in simple mixes.
The Cellar
Osborne
The Osborne winery, founded in the 18th century in El Puerto de Santa María, is one of the historical references of the Marco de Jerez in southern Spain. It mainly works with Palomino Fino, Pedro Ximénez, and Moscatel, key varieties for the production of finos, olorosos, amontillados, and traditional sweet wines. The Atlantic climate, moderated by the westerly and easterly winds, and the albariza soils provide characteristic freshness and salinity to its wines.
True to the criaderas and soleras system, Osborne combines long oxidative and biological aging under a veil of flor, preserving classic methods while incorporating precise oenological control. This philosophy of balance between heritage and modern technique is also reflected in its Jerez brandies, where the selection of holandas and the use of seasoned casks define a complex style deeply tied to the identity of the Marco.
