Brandy Mascaró Ego XO is a Spanish distillate of elegant and meditative character, produced by Destilería Antonio Mascaró in Penedès. It presents itself as a complex brandy, with clear prominence of ripe fruit and fine wood, designed to be enjoyed neat and appreciate its nuances. A spirit aimed at palates seeking aromatic depth and a long, sophisticated finish.
Color
Intense amber tone with copper reflections and a slightly golden rim, clean and bright. Dense tear suggesting good concentration and prolonged aging in contact with wood.
Nose
Aromas of candied fruit and dried apricots, dried orange peel, and touches of dehydrated apple. Notes of vanilla, sweet spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, along with hints of toasted nuts and a slight memory of cocoa and light tobacco are appreciated. With aeration, fine caramel notes and a very subtle balsamic echo appear.
Palate
Soft and enveloping entry, with creamy texture and silky passage. Dominated by ripe and candied fruit, accompanied by notes of polished oak, warm spices, and a touch of toffee. The alcohol is well integrated, providing warmth without edges, and the finish is long, with memories of nuts, vanilla, and a delicate elegant bitterness that invites another sip.
