About Gramona Imperial Brut Corpinnat
Gramona Imperial Brut Corpinnat is a sparkling wine with a clearly gastronomic profile, where the fineness of the bubble and the aromatic complexity combine with a notable structure. Gramona is one of the great references of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, and in this wine, a classic Penedès style is appreciated: ripe white fruit, bakery notes, and a very elegant saline background. Ideal for understanding the deep and autolytic character that a high-quality Corpinnat can achieve.
Color
Bright golden yellow, with straw reflections and slightly greenish glints at the rim. Clean and luminous, with a fine tear suggesting good concentration.
Nose
Aromas of roasted apple, ripe pear, and candied citrus, accompanied by notes of brioche, bread dough, and butter. Hints of fine nuts, almond, and hazelnut emerge, along with touches of dried flowers, light honey, and a mineral background reminiscent of wet stone and soft chalk.
Palate
Broad and creamy entry, with an enveloping sensation and a well-marked acidity that balances the ripeness of the fruit. Flavors of golden apple, candied lemon, and orange peel appear, integrated with reminders of pastries, nuts, and a subtle elegant bitterness in the finish. The finish is long, saline, and deep, clearly inviting gastronomy, from seafood to poultry and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.
Bubble
Very fine and constant bubble, perfectly integrated into the whole, providing creamy texture without being aggressive. Reinforces the sensation of freshness and extends the aftertaste, contributing to the overall elegance of the wine.
The Cellar
Gramona
The Gramona winery, located in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, in the heart of Penedès (Catalonia, Spain), is a historical reference in the production of long-aged sparkling wines under the D.O. Corpinnat. Its vineyards, worked organically and biodynamically, sit on calcareous and clay-calcareous soils that favor slow maturation and balanced acidity, key to the finesse of its base wines.
Gramona focuses on traditional varieties such as Xarel·lo and Macabeo, complemented by Parellada, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. The house's philosophy prioritizes prolonged aging on lees, moderate use of dosage, and the integration of sustainable practices in the winery and vineyard. Its sparkling wines stand out for their aromatic complexity, creamy texture, and marked aging potential.
