About José Pariente Verdejo Superior Rueda
Rueda José Pariente Verdejo Superior from Bodegas José Pariente is a dry white wine from the D.O. Rueda that accurately reflects the fresh and aromatic character of Verdejo. The winery is a benchmark in the area for its elegant, expressive, and modern style, with wines that are very defined in fruit and balance.
Color
It presents a bright straw-yellow color with greenish reflections, typical of well-made Verdejo from Rueda. The clarity and visual liveliness anticipate a fresh wine, young in expression and with good aromatic intensity.
Nose
Crisp aromas of white and stone fruits, such as pear, apple, and peach, accompanied by citrus notes and a marked fine herbaceous character, typical of the Verdejo variety. There are also hints of fennel and aniseed memories, very characteristic of José Pariente's fresh and precise style.
Palate
On the palate, it is dry, flavorful, and enveloping, with good acidity that provides tension and lengthens the finish. The balance between ripe fruit, the elegant bitter touch typical of Rueda, and a glyceric texture that reinforces the sensation of volume stands out, leaving a persistent and very clean finish.
The Cellar
Jose Pariente
The José Pariente winery is located in La Seca, in the heart of the D.O. Rueda, a historical reference in the production of Verdejo whites. Founded on the viticultural legacy of José Pariente, it mainly works with Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc from high-altitude vineyards, with gravelly soils and extreme continental climate, which favors marked thermal amplitude and slow ripening of the grape.
Its philosophy combines carefully selected harvesting, work on lees, and fermentations in stainless steel tanks, fudres, and oak barrels, seeking aromatic purity and texture on the palate. The result is tense, mineral, and expressive wines that accurately reflect the character of the stony soils and the freshness typical of Rueda.
